The tournament will premiere this year the “shot clock” that controls the tennis players’ serve time

For the first time, the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell will release the timer that controls the 25 seconds that the players have to serve. The device will be installed on both ends of the Rafa Nadal court, as well as the adjacent ones, as provided by the ATP regulations.

The “shot clock”, as this instrument is known to control the time of the serve, is one of the many novelties that the tournament presents, which in this edition deepens its digital strategy and will apply all the necessary protocols for the safety of the players, their entourages, the public that may attend and all those who in one way or another are linked to the organization of the tournament, such as sponsors and partners.

The great event of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 is one of the most outstanding of all those held on clay in the world and, according to the results of recent years, the best ATP 500 tournament, the category of this event.
