Parity and entertainment in the doubles draw
Court 2 of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona usually hosts a large part of the matches of the doubles draw and through it in this edition of the tournament have already performed authentic specialists of the modality, such as the veterans Marcelo Melo and Horia Tecau, Rajeev Ram, Edouard Roger-Vasselin or Horacio Zeballos.
Precisely the Argentine tennis player teamed-up with Marcel Granollers, a RCTB-1899 player who reached the final of the tournament in 2012 and 2016. But Zeballos and Granollers, despite starting as the second top favourites, today they said farewell to the competition after losing to Melo and Krawietz. The two tight sets with which Melo and Krawietz prevailed were a reflection of the equality existing between the different pairs of the circuit, in which many of the victories are decided in small details, such as those that occur at the end of the decisive super tie breaks.
Great matches are planned for tomorrow, in which spectators will be able to see in action the top favourites and current champions of the tournament, the Colombians Cabal and Farah, as well as Dodig and Murray or the French Mahut and Herbert. But without a doubt the great attraction will be to see the always celebrated Marc and Feliciano López, champions in 2018 and who always give their best to their crowd.
