14th edition of the Solidarity Aces

In just four days of competition, the players participating in this edition of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell have already achieved almost 100 aces. A number of ‘aces’ that will increase as the days go by and that, thanks to the supportive role of the tournament’s main sponsor, Banc Sabadell, will translate into thousands of euros that will be delivered to entities that carry out tasks for the neediest.

Today and at the Banc Sabadell stand, the fourteenth edition of the aforementioned “Aces Solidarios” has been presented, and all the proceeds from 2022 will go to the entities Fundación Tennis Barcelona Foundation, Benito Menni Foundation and KickOutPlastic.

Hermana de la Orden Hospitalaria de Fundación Benito Menni, Inés López, the representative of the Fundación Tennis BCN Juan Antonio Bordas and the president of KickOutPlastic, Lars Böcking, participated in the initiative’s presentation ceremony. The president of Banc Sabadell, Josep Oliu, was on behalf of the banking entity that has been promoting this charitable initiative for 14 years wanted to insist that “ the importance of these ‘aces’ it’s not just the monetary contribution but also the capacity to give visibility and the great job of lots of entities”.

The average number of ‘aces’ registered in each edition of the tournament stands at 470 aces. Since 2008, around 40 entities have benefited from the more than 320,000 euros raised.
