The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell dates for the year 2020 set: from April 18-26
The Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP) has announced the proposed calendar for next year. It is a very special season since the celebration of the Olympic Games in Tokyo (tennis, from July 25 to August 2) must be added and the first edition of the ATP Cup in January. The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, despite the changes, maintains its dates, specifically from April 18 to 26, and its position, immediately after the Masters 1000 of Monte Carlo and in parallel to the Budapest tournament.
The main novelties of this special calendar are the following:
- Celebration of the Olympic Games and the ATP Cup
- The city of Adelaide returns to the ATP circuit with a category 250 tournament in the second week of the year
- The Pune 250 moves from the first week to the fifth, coinciding with the tournaments of Córdoba and Montpellier
- The ATP 250 of Sofia also moves and instead of week 5 it moves to week 29, after the US Open
