The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, at the summit of all the ATP tournaments in Milan
Taking advantage of the fact that the second edition of the Next Gen finals is being held at the Fiera Milano venue in the capital of Lonbardía, the ATP has summoned the people in charge of all the tournaments of the circuit for its annual end-of-season convention. The most interesting meetings are scheduled for Friday. On behalf of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, Albert Agustí, president of the Real Club Tenis Barcelona, and Fernando Soler, of IMG, will attend.
The objective of the meeting of the main executives of the great events of world tennis is to unify criteria of the different organizations to follow all together in the project to strengthen the diffusion of this sport around the world and to study new development strategies in areas such as promotion or marketing.
The meeting is attended by representatives of the nine tournaments of the Masters 1,000 category, the 13 ATP 500, the 40 ATP 250 and the Nitto ATP (London) and Next Gen (Milan) finals.
The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell is one of the most outstanding ATP 500 tournaments in the world. In 2018 it featured two of the best players of the year, Novak Djokovic and Rafa Nadal, as well as three other top-10s: Grigor Dimitrov, Dominic Thiem and David Goffin.
For the 2019 edition, which will be held between April 20 and 28, the organization has already set the date for the launch of the ticket sales campaign: November 20 of this month.
