Excellent level in the finals of the Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre at the RCTB-1899
The under 12 and under 14 tennis circuit of reference in Spain has once again premiered one more year at the Real Club Tenis Barcelona. This is the sixth edition of the Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre, a competition that brings together the best national rackets in the sub-12 and sub-14 categories on the same court where the best players play every April at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.
This afternoon the finals of a tournament that began to be played on January 2 have been held. In the sub-12 category, Wozuko Mdlulwa has overtaken Neus Torner and Sergio Planella has done the same with Keoni Puig, player of the RCTB-1899. In the sub-14, Naroa Aranzábal, also of the organizing club, has beaten Raquel Caballero and Pepe León, in the men's box, to Max de Vilar.
The next stop of the circuit will be in Seville, from February 16 to 24, specifically at the A.R. Rio Grande. The seven best players and players of each category will play in September the grand final in Manacor, in Rafa Nadal's own academy.
Among the attendees, who did not want to miss the high tennis level of the young stars Ana Martí and Pep Costa, members of the board of directors of RCTB-1899, Miquel García, director of Mapfre Barcelona, Edu Matesanz, representing Nike, and Javier Soler, sports director of the Real Federación Española de Tennis.
