Feliciano López: "If I have a ranking that allows me to play the Grand Slams, I'll probably play one more year"
Feliciano López has faced some very special journalists in the traditional press conference with the students of the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899 tennis school and has left some headlines about one of the most questioned questions, his future.
"The truth is that I have not thought about it" he said about the scheduled date for his final farewell as a professional tennis player. "This year, my intention is to play all the calendar I had planned and we'll see how things finish at the end of the year, if everything goes well and I have a ranking that allows me to play the Grand Slams and the most important tournaments, I'll probably play one more year" has assured under the watchful eye of the children who filled the press conference room.
Feliciano will participate for the 19th time at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell thanks to a wild card from the organization. The player from Toledo holds the record of participation in the tournament of his Club in which he debuted when he was 15 years old in 1999. "This club and this city have been my home for many years and to play here is special for me" said the tennis player. "Without a doubt, this is one of my favourite tournaments" he added.
